Despite some unexpected winter weather, 200 were in attendance Friday Night as the Lebanon Midway honored the top drivers for 2018 from both the Spring Summer and Fall Series along with some surprise awards. Nancy and the group from Andy's 417 in Lebanon provided an outstanding meal.

Owner and Promoter Jack Jones and Dana Jones had the Wallace Building looking nice as Sponsors were thanked for the support. Toby Thompson of S and S U Pull It, Sing Rental, Bill Ford of B&J antiques, First State Community Bank, Buds Tire and Wheel, Alva STARNES and the STARNES AUTO GROUP, Complete Services and Mi-Kel. Special guest included Justin Wells, Kyle Medlin and Michael Seitz of the Cash Money Late Model Series as they discussed the start of the Late Model Series and how Midway and The Tony Roper Memorial event really got there season on the upswing of the most talked about racing series of last year.

Other special mentions. G3 boats Jesse Hawkins, Tracker Boats Carolyn Williams and Federal Protection Jeff Albright Sr. For special night's at the track. We welcome any new sponsors and our Sponsors of current season or past.

Mike Perry of Buds Tire and Wheel also spoke of the involvement of Midway and The Bud Perry Memorial. This season The Malvern Bank Cash Money Late Series joins the Marque event on Sept. 7th with Sept 14 rain date. The top 5 from the Spring Summer Series and Top 3 from the Fall Series were honored with Sam Petty, Mark Davis, Shannon Geller, Colt James Cheevers, Ron Duncan Jr, and William Garner grabbing the Championship honors from the Summer Series and Sam Petty , Luke Gideon, Joe Francis, Jack Wood, and Tyson Moore in the Fall Series.

Special Awards this season were awarded to Dillion McCowan as young gun, Team 57 of Justin and Sheldon Roberts as team of the year for the efforts of helping behind the scenes and at the track of other race teams. USRA National Champion Kris Krystle Schurman Jackson were presented a special appreciation as calling Midway a home track and his honor for the Championship.

Jim Ruble was honored as a pioneer legend and his support to all the area races. Sam Petty was honored as driver of the year and Led Hayes became only the 2nd member of the Midway Hall of Fame. Shawna Grindstaff presented her picks for best appearing car and special photo for the Lady drivers of the Midway from the Hornet class.

Tech man Jeff Albright Sr. Discussed the new Kids Crusier class and the beginning of it. Staff members of the Speedway were thanked for the hard work and the rolls each race night. Over $200 in gift cards were drawn for as door prizes.

The upcoming season will find drivers with perfect attendance for 2019 will be awarded $100 at the Banquet and there names will be placed in a drawing for $1000 drawing.

In 2018 over 250 drivers competed while the short fall season saw 185 plus drivers check in On a side note a Thank You for the beautiful acknowledged award. Dana and Jack have always provided unique and outstanding awards. A special Thank you was given to Joe Francis, Junior Knudtson and Bill And Jamie Ragland with Oakley motors for the added money at different times during the season.

The 2019 season will start Friday March 30th with the Spring Fling and more information and details on the website and the Facebook Page.
